Triton’s mission is to provide as much knowledge as possible to the reef keeper. Thanks to the ICP-OES analysis technique, a greater understanding about the demands of his or her corals in the system is possible for hobbyists. These demands can be catered for in advance, helping to create a unique system that can provide some of the characteristics necessary to keep corals in top condition.
Quality Control- Triton’s ICP-OES system is responsible for the accuracy and quality of all of Triton’s tests and products, and we take great care to see that it is operating in peak condition to provide the best possible results. We calibrate the system daily utilizing rigorous standards to ensure that the test results are useful and accurate for our hobbyist clients. The testing protocol was developed specifically for high salt operation in order to provide practical, useable results for reef aquarium hobbyists.

By combining detailed information from water analysis with solid husbandry techniques, the Triton “Method” makes it possible for the home hobbyist to create a beautiful, healthy reef system with a more modest amount of time, effort, and expense than required by many other reef keeping approaches embraced by the hobby.
The result of “Empowered Reefkeeping” is an aquarium environment that can be both more accurately monitored and managed over the long term. This approach has been utilized by many successful European reef keepers for several years, and is proven in both theory and practice.
The foundation of the Triton Method is a three part approach- Utilization of accurate water analysis, a regular husbandry program to reduce variables and maintain consistent environmental parameters, and the addition of specific trace elements as determined by the coral population, confirmed via periodic testing, to help maintain a healthy, thriving reef aquarium.
